Yezoteuthis giganteus
Taxonomy
Yezoteuthis giganteus was named by Tanabe et al. (2006). Its type specimen is NMA-335, an other (upper jaw), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Wakkawenbetsu Creek, Nakagawa Town, which is in a Campanian marine mudstone in the Osousyunai Formation of Japan.
