Taxonomy
Muensterella spinosa was named by Fuchs et al. (2019). Its type specimen is BSPG 1964XXII 103 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Daiting (BSPG collection), which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Mörnsheim Formation of Germany.
