Taxonomy
Cosmocerithium polonicum was named by Kaim (2004). Its type specimen is MZ VIII Mg 4246/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lukow, Podlasie region, Lubelskie, which is in a Callovian transition zone/lower shoreface claystone in Poland.
