Doggerostra riedeli was named by Gründel (1998). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bore Kleby 1/37, depth 256,8-257,8 m, Western Pomerania, which is in a Bathonian offshore siliciclastic in Poland.
It was recombined as Bandellina riedeli by Kaim (2004).
