Taxonomy
Hemipedina taylori was named by Smith and Crame (2012). Its type specimen is BAS KG1616.9 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is KG.1616, Tethys Nunatak, southern end, which is in an Albian marine siliciclastic in the Neptune Glacier Formation of Antarctica.
