Lytoceras (Saturnoceras) saturnale was named by Anderson (1938) [DISTRIBUTION: Valanginian; Pacific Coast, North America.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Lytoceras saturnale by Imlay (1960), Murphy (1975) and Murphy et al. (1995).
