Taxonomy

Crioceras latus was named by Gabb (1864) [DISTRIBUTION: Hauterivian; Pacific Coast, North America.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was corrected as Crioceras latum by Anderson (1938); it was recombined as Crioceratites latus by Imlay (1960).

Synonyms

Crioceras duncanense was named by Anderson (1938). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS Loc. 1665, Duncan Creek, which is in a Hauterivian marine siliciclastic in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.

It was synonymized subjectively with Crioceratites latus by Imlay (1960).
