Feralisaurus corami

Taxonomy
Feralisaurus corami was named by Cavicchini et al. (2020). Its type specimen is BRSUG 29950-12, a partial skeleton (a partial skeleton of well-articulated or associated bones, including skull, mandible, 19–21 presacrals, ribs fragments, pectoral girdle, and the right forelimb), and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Foreshore below Peak Hill, which is in an Anisian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Helsby Sandstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Feralisaurus.

Cavicchini et al. 2020A small neodiapsid characterized by the following: maxilla high but without a prominent nasal process; jugal with a low dorsal process and small rounded posterior process; teeth conical with pleurodont implantation; mandible with high coronoid process and medium-length retroarticular process; modest trans-verse processes on vertebrae; rod-like clavicles; robust interclavicle without an anterior process; broad unfenestrated coracoids; ventrolateral process of scapulocoracoids; single-headed ribs.
