Taxonomy
Monotis nelgekhensis was named by Truschelev (1977). It is not extant. Its type specimen is YATGU No. 73-1. Its type locality is Nel'gekhe River, Adycha basin (daonellaeformis zone), which is in a Norian marine siltstone/sandstone in the Russian Federation.
