Taxonomy
Bothriolepis dorakarasugensis was named by Moloshnikov (2009). Its type specimen is PIN, no. 2933/38 (anterior mediodorsale) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Upper reaches of the Dora-Kara-Sug River, which is in a Frasnian marine horizon in the Kokhai Formation of the Russian Federation.
