Mitra slevini
Taxonomy
Voluta slevini was named by Dickerson (1915). Its type specimen is CAS 362, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 244, Live Oak Canyon, which is in an Eocene marginal marine sandstone/shale in the Tejon Formation of California.
It was recombined as Mitra slevini by Anderson and Hanna (1925).
