Planorotalites pseudomenardii was named by Nederbragt and van Hinte (1987). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Globorotalia pseudomenardii by Bolli (1957); it was recombined as Globorotalia (Globorotalia) pseudomenardii by Hillebrandt (1962); it was recombined as Globanomalina pseudomenardii by Bolli (1957), Olsson et al. (1999).

H. M. Bolli 1957Shape of test very low trochospiral, biconvex; equatorial peripheral elongate, lobate, especially so in large specimens; axial periphery angular with distinct keel. Wall calcareous, perforate, surface smooth. Chambers strongly compressed; about 15, arranged in 3 whorls, the 5 chambers of the last whorl increasing rapidly in size. Sutures on spiral side strongly curved, especially so between last chambers of large specimens, depressed; on umbilical side radial, depressed. Umbilicus shallow, open. Aperture a low arch with a lip; interiomarginal, extraumbilical-umbilical. Largest diameter of holotype 0.34 mm., of figured paratype 0.66 mm.
