Taxonomy
Pseudocymia cahalli was named by Popenoe and Saul (1987). Its type specimen is LACMIP 7263, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 2324, Santiago Creek, Santa Ana Mountains, which is in a Campanian marine sandstone in the Ladd Formation of California.
