Taxonomy

Desmoceras planulatiforme was named by Jimbo (1894).

It was recombined as Jimboiceras planulatiforme by Matsumoto (1959).

Synonyms

Puzosia (Eocanadoceras) hannai was named by Anderson (1958). Its type specimen is CAS 2245.01, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CAS loc. 2245, Dry Creek, which is in a Turonian marine siliciclastic in California. It is the type species of Puzosia (Eocanadoceras).

It was synonymized subjectively with Jimboiceras planulatiforme by Matsumoto (1959).
