Pyropsis striata
Taxonomy
Heteroterma striata was named by Stanton (1896). Its type specimen is USNM 157845, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS loc. 4189, one mile north of Pacheco, which is in a Thanetian shallow subtidal horizon in the Vine Hill Formation of California.
It was recombined as Pyropsis striata by Saul (1988).
