Taxonomy
Fusinus fabulator was named by Nomland (1917). Its type specimen is UCMP 11319, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 3029, Tejon Hills, which is in a Miocene marine sandstone in the Santa Margarita Formation of California.
