Taxonomy
Beyrichites splendens was named by Arthaber (1896). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rahnbauerkogel, which is in a Pelsonian carbonate limestone in the Gutenstein Formation of Austria.
It was recombined as Schreyerites splendens by Vörös (2003).
