Taxonomy
Saynoceras gazellae was named by Pervinquière (1907). Its type specimen is MNHN.F.J12576, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Neosaynoceras gazellae by Breistroffer (1947), Wright et al. (1996).
