Taxonomy
Calva (Egelicalva) byblidis was named by Saul and Popenoe (1992). Its type specimen is LACMIP 8098 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP loc. 29231, Texas Springs area, which is in an Albian marine horizon in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
