Pseudomelatoma fleenerensis
Taxonomy
Drillia fleenerensis was named by Martin (1914). Its type specimen is UCMP ??? (not stated in publication), a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 1860, which is in a Pliocene coastal horizon in the Rio Dell Formation of California.
It was recombined as Pseudomelatoma fleenerensis by Grant, IV and Gale (1931), Keen and Bentson (1944), Hendy (2020).
