Taxonomy
Gobiidarum nolfi was named by Bajpai and Kapur (2004). Its type specimen is IITR/SB/25, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vastan Lignite Mine (marine vertebrates), which is in a Ypresian marine siliciclastic in the Cambay Shale Formation of India.
