Taxonomy
Congridarum brevisulcus was named by Schwarzhans (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Brothers Stream, which is in a Waitakian marine siltstone in New Zealand.

It was recombined as Conger brevisulcus by Schwarzhans (2019).
