Taxonomy
Callionymus hakatarameaensis was named by Schwarzhans (2019). Its type specimen is NMNZ S.47547, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sisters Creek North Branch, which is in a Waitakian marine marl in New Zealand.
