Taxonomy
Grahamichthys frigophila was named by Schwarzhans (2019). Its type specimen is AU V561, an otolith, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is GS 9700, which is in an Altonian marine sandstone in the Southburn Sand Formation of New Zealand.
