Eoconcha austini
Taxonomy
Eoconcha austini was named by Cooper (1951). Its type specimen is USNM 111691a and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 23j. 1 mile northeast of Austinville, Max Meadows Quadrangle , which is in a Delamaran carbonate dolomite in the Shady Formation of Virginia. It is the type species of Eoconcha.
