Taxonomy
Crepidula saugusensis was named by Waterfall (1929). Its type specimen is UCMP 31422 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 7077, which is in a Pliocene/Pleistocene marine horizon in the Saugus Formation of California.
