Taxonomy

Corbula alaeformis was named by Gabb (1869).

It was recombined as Leda alaeformis by Stanton (1896), Waring (1917), Stewart (1930); it was replaced with Corbula gabbii by Dall (1898); it was recombined as Nuculana (Saccella) alaeformis by Moore (1983).
