Arca (Arca) trilineata calcarea was named by Grant, IV and Gale (1931). Its type specimen is S.U. 436, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Anadara (Anadara) trilineata calcarea by Reinhart (1943) and Moore (1983).
