Glycymeris (Glycymerita) tecolotensis

Taxonomy
Glycymeris tecolotensis was named by Hanna (1927). Its type specimen is UCMP 30987 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 5091 Tecolote Creek, San Diego, which is in a Lutetian marine shale in the La Jolla Formation of California.

It was synonymized subjectively with Glycymeris perrini by Stewart (1930); it was recombined as Glycymeris (Glycymerita) tecolotensis by Moore (1983).
