Taxonomy
Natica (Euspira) ramonensis was named by Clark (1918). Its type specimen is UCMP 11257, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 1131, Walnut Creek, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in California.
It was recombined as Polinices (Euspira) ramonensis by Marincovich (1977).
