Taxonomy
Nerita (Bajanerita) larix was named by Saul and Squires (1997). Its type specimen is LACMIP 7883 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1563, Larch Mountain area, Black Hills, which is in a Ypresian sand shoal mudstone in the Crescent Formation of Washington.
