Taxonomy
Corsania (Corsania) allisoni was named by Saul and Squires (1997). Its type specimen is UCMP 33409 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Alisitos Fm. (UCB A-8317), which is in an Aptian shallow subtidal conglomerate in the Alisitos Formation of Mexico.
