Taxonomy
Humptulipsia nobuharai was named by Kaim et al. (2014). Its type specimen is UMUT MM31170 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is SD04, Sada Limestone, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian slope limestone in the Nakamura Formation of Japan.
