Taxonomy
Tornoceras aequilobum was named by Söte et al. (2021). Its type specimen is MfN MB.C.29406.1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sand A, Herkenrather Straße 70, Bergisch Gladbach, which is in a Frasnian offshore shale in the Sand Formation of Germany.
