Gunggamarandu maunala
Taxonomy
Gunggamarandu maunala was named by Ristevski et al. (2021). Its type specimen is QMF14.548, a partial skull (incomplete cranium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Darling Downs (general), which is in a Pliocene/Pleistocene terrestrial horizon in Australia. It is the type species of Gunggamarandu.
