Taxonomy
Redfieldius obrai was named by Bock (1959). Its type specimen is ANSP Bock 851 and is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Gwynedd Tunnel (thin shales), which is in a Norian pond shale in the Lockatong Formation of Pennsylvania.
