Taxonomy
Alsatites onoderai was named by Matsumoto (1953). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Department of Geology, Kyushu University, G1001. Its type locality is Sz-13, Niranohama, Motoyoshi-gun, Miyagi Prefecture, which is in a Hettangian carbonate sandstone in the Niranohama Formation of Japan. It is the type species of Yebisites.

It was recombined as Yebisites onoderai by Matsumoto (1956).
