Taxonomy
Anomalorthis fascicostellatus was named by Ross (1970). Its type specimen is USNM 160803, a valve (brachial valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is D1764 CO, which is in a Whiterockian shallow subtidal limestone in the Antelope Valley Formation of Nevada.
