Pagellus libanicus
Taxonomy
Pagellus libanicus was named by Pictet (1850). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sach el Aalma (Boissier collection), which is in a Santonian carbonate lime mudstone in Lebanon. It is the type species of Acanthophoria.
It was recombined as Acanthophoria libanica by Gorjanović-Kramberger (1895).
