Pankowskichthys libanicus
Taxonomy
Pankowskichthys libanicus was named by Taverne and Capasso (2014). Its type specimen is IRSNB P 9278, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Hadjoula (IRSNB collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Sannine Limestone Formation of Lebanon. It is the type species of Pankowskichthys.
