Belonostomus lesinaensis
Taxonomy
Belonostomus lesinaensis was named by Bassani (1882). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Lesina (K.K. Geologischen Reichsanstalt GBA collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Starigrad Limestone Formation of Croatia.
