Taxonomy
Coelodus latus was named by Gorjanović-Kramberger (1895). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Mrzlek (Gorica Museum collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Slovenia.
