Taxonomy
Pecten (Lyropecten) arnoldi was named by Aguerrevere (1925). Its type specimen is LSJU 364, a shell (a large two-valved adult), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Nodipecten arnoldi by Smith (1991).
