Taxonomy
Boreopeltis ifrimae was named by Fuchs and Stinnesbeck (2021). Its type specimen is CPC 2796, a shell (gladius), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Vallecillo quarry (CPC collection), which is in a Turonian offshore limestone in the Agua Nueva Formation of Mexico.
