Taxonomy
Sedenhorstia orientalis was named by Goody (1969). Its type specimen is BMNH P.9983, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hadjoula (BMNH collection), which is in a Cenomanian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal limestone in Lebanon.
