Taxonomy
Osmeroides gracilis was named by Davis (1887). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sahil Alma (Lewis collection), which is in a Santonian carbonate lime mudstone in Lebanon. It is the type species of Lebonichthys.
It was recombined as Lebonichthys gracilis by Forey (1973).
