Taxonomy
Nerinea (Plesioptygmatis) bosei was named by Allison (1955). It is not extant. Its type specimen is UCMP 33621, a partial shell. Its type locality is Alisitos Fm. (UCB A-8321), which is in an Aptian shallow subtidal sandstone in the Alisitos Formation of Mexico.
