Chemnitzia tridentata aurantia was named by Carpenter (1863). It is extant.

It was recombined as Chemnitzia aurantia by Carpenter (1865); it was recombined as Turbonilla (Lancea) aurantia by Arnold (1903); it was recombined as Pyrgolampros aurantia by Hendy (2021).
