Nunaneichthys mexicanus
Taxonomy
Nunaneichthys mexicanus was named by Hernández-Guerrero et al. (2021). Its type specimen is UAHMP-4232, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Muhi quarry, which is in an Albian/Cenomanian deep subtidal shelf lime mudstone in the El Doctor Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Nunaneichthys.
