It was recombined as Mangilia hexagona by Moody (1916) and Soper and Grant (1932); it was recombined as Mangelia (Mangelia) hexagona by Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Cytharella hexagona by Kanakoff and Emerson (1959); it was recombined as Agathotoma hexagon by Hall (2002); it was recombined as Ithycythara hexagona by Hendy (2021).
